Bought as 1698 Kentish Strong Ale. L: Pours clear tea-like color (oh, itís called auburn) with a lot of small bubbles rising. Head is 3 fingers tall but itís not thick enough and disappears in few seconds without any lacing. S: Sweet, hoppy, caramel. T: Faint hoppy taste, some malts in aftertaste, bitternes 40-45 IBU I think. F: Light to medium-bodied, not crispy enough. O: Itís quite drinkable but for me itís just ordinary ale.

Kolor bursztynowy, obwůdka średniopęcherzykowej piany. Zapach słodki, owocowy z nutą toffi. W smaku słodkie z wyraźną kwaśnością, owoce leśne i tropikalne, karmel, chleb, średnio-niska gorycz ziołowo-alkoholowa, posmak trochę winny. Nasycenie wysokie.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear amber brown color with thin soapy off-white head and sparkling appearance. Aroma is bready, grassy, fruity and a bit alcoholic. Taste starts with moderate sweet caramel and toasted malt, follows grassy, yeasty and fruity, mouthfeel is mild spicy, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Relatively good job...

Poured from a 0,5 l bottle into a massive mug; enjoyed with vege pizza. Bright red coloured, with dirty-white head - pretty sight. Malty taste, little carbonation and gently-bitter aftertaste. Overall: good enjoyable beer.
