Copper colour with unusual malty pear drop doice nose which follows through to the tongue. Spice and a hot cross bun quality contradts with the dry austere quality.

Cuivrée et limpide, mousse blanche moyenne. Nez malté, caramel, biscuit, houblons épicés. Attaqe légèrement amère, puis malts et caramel, retour de l’amertume finale, agrumes et épices. Bonne carbo, belle rondeur. Bonne bière.

Clear amber/orange, small white foam ring remaining. Again sweet aroma, this is repeating with this brewer. Still decent bitter taste, also in aftertaste. (Arnhem 201504)

Orangey amber with minimal head. Nice beery smell full of yeast and grains with a bit of citrus. Taste is a caramelly without being too sweet; very strange mouthfeel, it almost disappears from the mouth immediately. It works very well with this beer.

Pours amber, slightly hazy. Medium tan head with bubbles of all sizes. Aroma is caramel, treacle, nutty---lots of malt notes. Lively, prickly mouthfeel, with some acid on the finish. Lightly sweet, not particularly bitter. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Tesco. Drunk at home while listening to Fux’s chamber opera ’Dafne in Lauro’. Odd orangey-brown colour. Massive carbonation that quickly disappears from view. Caramel, wood and slightly sulphurous aroma. bitter, somewhat astringent tastewith a sweet almost citrussy hit at the end. Medium to long bitter finish. Body incredibly watery for the strength. Decent enough but not really my cup of tea.
