500 ml bottle. Finland.
Clear golden colour with small to average off-white head. Floral fruity slightly skunky hoppy bitter aroma with some maltiness. Floral bitter hoppy flavour. Stronger hoppiness than normally in English Bitters. England failed in WC, was this the reason?

Bottle 500ml. @ Petalax Beer Festival 2010 - the 4th. edition.

Clear light medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted - caramel, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. 28th June 2010. On tap at the Sun Inn, Kelvedon, Essex. Clear amber beer, little white head. Dry palate. Reasonably well balanced. Light malt. Repressed orange and pineapple in the hop. It’s really not that hoppy considering 10 varieties went in! Finishes a little over dry with some bubblegum and honey tones. Seriously - where are the 10 hops? More lost that Wayne Rooney in a world cup game!

On draught in the Dover Castle, Brighton - 19/6/10. Lager-like colouring with a thick foamy head. Little nose, with an uncomplicated taste of hops. Dry, hoppy palate.

Pasteurised, bottled (from Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops along with quite big earthy and grassyness. Some bready malts as well. Flavour is grass, some bready malts and mild notes of parfume and wood. Quite dry wooden notes in the finish.

Pasteurised - maybe split?
500ml bottle (Kuikka, Helsinki)
Big hoppy waft on opening and pouring. Perfumey and some husky malts in the aroma - very much the shepherd neame fingerprint. Mid gold, small tight head. Crisp carbonation, and quite a thin palate. Retronasals quite grainy. Quite mushroomy body, lots of malt, grainy, but a great wave of hops too. Finish is mostly bitter and biting noble hops, lots in the range between EKG and Spalt. Enjoyable bitter for a session, not too emasculated by pasteurisation.

Not a bad beer, very hoppy aroma (it has 10 hop varieties) nice taste, not nuh on appearance, but overall quite a pleasant experience

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Grapefruit citric aroma. Some warm, creamy background malt in the taste. Mid bitter finish. This was quite good, though I wouldn’t want to drink it for the full ninety minutes.
