3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap@ahven. cherry red, filtered. Herbal aroma, with earthy woodlands, almost medicinal. Body bitter, but smooth. Crunchy dark crackers, herbs and grass. Tasty, alright. Very english, has some of that old cellar- murkyness real ales usually have.

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pleasant strong bottled beer. Not a great aroma, a bit off and sulphurous. The taste, crisp, hoppy and belying the strength, makes up for this. Decent mouthfeel.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I always thought this name came from the times when that was what the actress said to the bishop. The alleged explanation is not as lewd. Malty aroma, strong on the alcohol, but never invasive. Fruits on the flavour, with plums, preserved pears and grapefruits. I love the great balance between the the malty sweetness and the dry, bitter finish, which is never too exaggerate. Exemplar bitter.
