Bishops Finger takes its name from the finger-shaped signposts which pointed pilgrims on their way to the tomb of Thomas a Becket in Canterbury and was the first strong ale to be brewed by Shepherd Neame after malt rationing was eased in the late 1950s. It is one of the UK’s oldest bottled beers, brewed since 1958.
Bishops Finger holds EU Protected Geographical Indication, recognising its unique provenance. Uniquely, it is brewed to a charter which states it can only be brewed by the head brewer on a Friday and that it must be brewed using 100% natural ingredients, Kentish hops and barley, and the brewery’s own artesian mineral water.

Copper colour, thin white head, bitter flavours, not a bad drop at all. Don’t drink it too cold.

Very bad taste, couldn’t wait to finish it. I liked other similar beers but this one was just very disappointing.

Butelka 0,5l termin wa?no?ci 06.2016, temperatura serwowania 8 stopni +, szk?o teku. Barwa: miedziana, klarowne. Piana: bia?a, niska, zbudowana z p?cherzyków ?redniej wielko?ci, szybko opada o dziwo pozostawiaj?c delikatny leasing i cienk? warstw? przykrywaj?c? trunek.

Amber clear color with beige foam head. The smell is malty sweet with a bitter touch. The taste is malty sweet with a strong bitter overlayer without being tart. The aftertaste is malty. Not my favorite style, but not bad.
