Bottle at home. Clear amber pour, off-white head. Aroma of fresh citrus hops, Czech pilsener hops, slightly chemical, somewhat grainy. Flavor is a quick flash of hoppy Bohemian pilsener, followed by a watery emptyness. Quite strange short lingering flavor. Refreshing though.

Bottled 27/12/12. An amber coloured beer with a whitish head. Stewed fruits and boiled sweets in the aroma. Bitter and fruity in the mouth. Obvious pasteurization yet in spite of that there’s a decent beer trying to get out as the fruitiness from wht I suspect are goldings is strong and tasty. This was surprisingly drinkable.

50cl bottle from Kellys Expat shop the Hague. Thin white head. Clear amber pour. Ok but missing something.

Familiar sour, soapy bitterness in the distinctive Shepherd Neame style. Has a lingering bitterness.

Clear 500ml bottle: best before May 2013, drank on 26 July 2012. Light amber body with a thin white wisp and collar. Hops rule the aroma and taste: floral and citrus in the nose a little more balanced with malts in the taste. Flavours roll around the mouth but it all seems superficial and artificial. This is not unlike a host of Shepherd Neame supermarket brews and isn’t a great advert for the brewery: good job it was cheap.

Bottle 0,5ltr: Clear amber coloured beer with an hoppy, grapefruit and citrus taste, in this case not a good combination for me.

Copper colour. Aroma gives off a real scent of fresh hop buds. Flavour has a slight caramel, malty sweetness then refreshing hop. Very dry finish and a slightly metallic aftertaste. A 4% alcohol bitter that is refreshing and delivers plenty of flavour.

McNeillR (247) - SCOTLAND - JUN 27, 2012
A decent spiritedly nose, caramel body and tufts of an off white head. Unripened fruit in initial taste and malt body quickly separates into a sickly and bitter finish. Trickles of a hop zest get you supping back for more, almost to cover up the previous sour finish on the palate. An ’unputdownable’ ale for all the wrong reasons.

Bottle. Amber in colour with a decent, off-white head and a large amount of carbonation. Bready, malt aroma with a touch of grassy hop and hedgerow fruit. Flavour had more of the same malts, a hint of nettle and metallic, bitter finish. A challenge to finish.

rauchbier (3394) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JUN 11, 2012
Bottle. Gold, thin shortlived white head and moderate condition. Gentle grassy herbal hops and light caramel sweetness in the nose, dry, bitter and slightly peppery initially in the mouth but with a developing toffee and caramel sweetness before turning hoppily bitter and chalky dry in the finish
