2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Aroma: hints of hops, maybe bit of grass. Appearance: hazy, darkish gold - not very nice. Taste: bland, bit sour. Palate: zero carbonation, flat, lightly bitter. Overall: does not work for me - missing anything special about Christmas. Pint at Davy’s Canary Wharf, London.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask. Amber ale with decent white bubbles. Heavy cloves and spices on nose. Even heavier clove taste in the mouth, with a smidgin of tangerine and banana. A bit heavy handed with the "Christmas" but it's decent as a special one-off sup.

Not a fan. Its even duller and more unimaginative then Masterbrew or Spitfie.
Smells quite promising off the pour, Something quite heavy and dark spicy and full bodied.
Tastes bad. As if they have thrown whatever in there to see what happens and if it turns out bad no matter, because its a yearly seasonal ale and people will by it anyway as a novelty.
I’m not a fan of Shepherd Neams main ales such as Masterbrew and Spitfire or even Canterbury Jack and Celebration ale.
However I am a fan of a couple of their seasonal ales such as Early Bird and Late Red shame Christmas Ale did not reflect the latter two’s greatness.
