Bottle from 24hr shop in Southgate. Aroma is toffee and caramel malts, grassy peppery hop, christm,as pudding spice is subtle but there. Taste is similar, quite drinkable. However theres a small skunky note, which im guessing is from the fact it was from a random newsagent in a clear glass bottle and was nearly out of date.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity nose with citrus (Seville orange, mandarin), dried apricots, toffee and hints of spices and fresh ginger. Fruity, malty taste with Seville orange, dried apricots, spices and sweetish hints of strong wine (Madeira?). Balanced notes of earthy, citrussy hops in the finish. Slightly above medium body, rather sweet with some alcohol shining through. Tasty and warming (even on a cold spring evening).

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I already had drinked several bottles of this stuff, before I noticed on March that this has separate entry on RB. Well, fortunately my local (Beer Hunters) still has this available. It has copper brown color, small to average off-white head. Nose is alcoholic, nutty-woody hoppy nose. Bitterish, a bit fruity, alcoholic with typical SN’s nutty hoppyness. Too alcoholic for being enjoyable.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Not bad for a Christmas ale, I’m not usually a fan. A bit sweet, fruity and syrupy - very malty. Quite strong, but doesn’t taste the 7% - enough bitterness and hops to make it better than both Christmas ales

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
(Bottle) Pours copper red. The aroma is raw fruity with some notes of syrup and malt. Some hops in the background with grassy and floral tones. The flavour is fruity and a bit alcohol-ish with light notes of syrup/malt and some hop tones of grass, oranges and herbs. The mouthfeel is a bit hard and alcohol-ish. Dry finish. Medium bodied.
