There’s a spicy signature to this incredibly complex cockle-warming winter ale. The nose is reminiscent of raisins, dates and molasses while the palate is vinous with tannin-like notes of leather, vanilla, apricots and a hint of rustic Armagnac on the finish. An awesome after-dinner drop.

Ikke megen aroma. Lidt bitter og passer bedst til lidt fed, salt mad. Meget maltet og ikke særlig juleagtig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl. flaske. 7,0 % . Maghogni farvet juleøl med beskedent lyst skum. Acceptabel med en smule bitterhed. Ikke den bedste juleøl

This christmas ale has a very expressive (and agressive) hop taste. It dominates all the other flavors, but normally you would like to be these type of beers a bit sweeter, fuller bodied and heavier. Nevertheless, it’s quite complex with hints of raisins and it’s spicy bitterness that lasts long on your palate.

Bottled 500ml. -from local Konzum supermarket. Darker golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, discreet spicy nose. Sweet malty, toffee caramel, fruity alcoholic and notes of hops. Nuts shows up in the finish. Hops are noticable, spices bit less but that alcohol note remains all the time.

Really nice aroma containing vanilla, apples, and spices. Taste of peppermint candy cane, "juleskum", sugar, and apples.

Appearance: Lovely amberish color with a fine off white head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Fruity and heavy caramel malty.
Palate: Medium + body. Sweet and a moderate bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Rich caramel malty, toffee and tough fruity.
Overall impression: Oh no. To sweet and too much caramel.
Personal stats: Bottle Can from Systembolaget in Strömstad, Sweden.

Clear sort of coppery colour with a finely bubbled head. Fruit and molasses on the aroma, although muted, and showing some light floral hops. Medium bodied brew with a little boozy kick on the finish and caramel/malty taste. Very boring brew.

A nice english strong ale but not necesarily a Christmas one. Complex and fine aroma in a warming palate but a bit thin.

Pours brilliant copper color. Aroma is bready toasty malt with a bit of an oxidized wet cardboard note. Flavor is light bready malt with a spicy note. Slight oxidizes note. Herbal English hop flavor.
