2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
(bottle - 500 ml) Clear amber with white head. Light sweet and spice aroma. Very mild though. Dry spice flavor at the start with very light hints of fruit and then a bitter and very dry spice finish. A bit too mild and bitter.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nose is spice, clove, slight dates, raisin, brown sugar; appealing. Taste is spice, cloves, marzipan, slight tannin. Some caramel and gentle nut in the backbone. Mouthfeel is terrible, much too thin.
It’s better than I was anticipating, but pales into comparison with many of the Belgian festive beers. Would be interested in trying it on cask.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Poured a bright copper color ale with a relatively large foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with candy like notes with light caramelized malt notes. Taste is also dominated by some very nice candy like ester with some refreshing fruity notes and some medium caramel malt notes. Body is light with good carbonation. Nothing extreme in this beer but well balance with nice work around the ester.

Bottle from Systemet.
Nice body and head. Aroma with raisins and christmas fruits. Nice bitterness but the high alcohol content shines through with chemical sweetness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
One of the better S.N. offerings unlike their Cherry Brandy Christmas Ale of some years back. Pours with a rocky head, big aroma of fruit & berries. The alcohol is well hidden, fruit pastels, pear drops with a fruity hop balance, yep, fruit & more fruit lacking the usual heavy hopping and astringency I find in other S.N. beers. This is surprisingly decent.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500ml bottle. Pours a clear copper colour with a beige head. Smells undoubtably like a British ale. Fruity, caramel heavy malt notes, and light pink bubblegum. The taste is caramel / sponge toffee / corn syrupy notes up front, big hard water notes, and lots of mineral heavy hopping in the bitter finish. It’s not terribly successful as a beer, but it does succeed in making me want a pint of the much better London Pride.
