COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Thereís a spicy signature to this incredibly complex cockle-warming winter ale. The nose is reminiscent of raisins, dates and molasses while the palate is vinous with tannin-like notes of leather, vanilla, apricots and a hint of rustic Armagnac on the finish. An awesome after-dinner drop.

Bottle from the LCBO. Bright and clear reddish-copper with a small creamy white head. Mellow aroma of toffee, barley candy and subdued orange peel hops. Medium bodied, pleasant on the palate. Flavour follows the aroma - decent balance of caramel malt and orange peel, with a suggestion of ground ginger in the finish. A nice enough beer, but a bit plain for a Christmas ale, and nowhere near as complex as the commercial description claims.

I really love the fact that Hrabren rated this one before me (cheers mate!). :D As he said. Drunk on a tram station, waiting for a night bus. We bothered to get a clear plastic glass for the appearance rating, so thatís completely pro FFS. Fucking expensive, 4 Euros for 0.5l or something like that, supposedly on a sale. Right. Had to chose between this and Rocking Rudolph, got this. Probably a good choice. It poured a slightly darker amber-brown body with a slightly off white head, thick and relatively big. Aroma... ummm... vague smoked meat, malty, vaguely nutty, sweetish, slightly strange. Taste... dried apricots, sweetish, vague orange perhaps, malty overall. Some mild bitterness in the finish. Not unpleasant really, but beers at that price are supposed to be much more thrilling in my opinion... In any case, you can do much worse than this. Still overpriced though.

0.5 bottle from Konzum, shared it with a dear friend (thanks, Marko). Drank from a plastic cup on a tram station, like the real men do. Pours light amber with a very strong almost white head. Spicy aroma. Some smoke, dried fruits, plum and raisins. Honey and biscuits. Alcohol notes, dried fruit sweetness. You can feel it?s strength, nice sweet finish. I?m drunk, but I can?t say it?s bad.

Ikke megen aroma. Lidt bitter og passer bedst til lidt fed, salt mad. Meget maltet og ikke særlig juleagtig. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

50 cl. flaske. 7,0 % . Maghogni farvet juleÝl med beskedent lyst skum. Acceptabel med en smule bitterhed. Ikke den bedste juleÝl

This christmas ale has a very expressive (and agressive) hop taste. It dominates all the other flavors, but normally you would like to be these type of beers a bit sweeter, fuller bodied and heavier. Nevertheless, itís quite complex with hints of raisins and itís spicy bitterness that lasts long on your palate.

Bottled 500ml. -from local Konzum supermarket. Darker golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, discreet spicy nose. Sweet malty, toffee caramel, fruity alcoholic and notes of hops. Nuts shows up in the finish. Hops are noticable, spices bit less but that alcohol note remains all the time.
