Bottle - pours deep dark red, almost black, with a light brown foamy head. Light lacing and pretty good retention. Aroma of caramel, roast malt and some hints of vanilla. Taste is roasted malts, smoke, hints of vanilla and brown sugar and a medium lingering bitterness to finish. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle asda. Black thin tan head. Aroma is coffee. Taste is same slight choc peaty smoke decent bitter finish. Medium body. Decent stout.

50cl bottle in Tallinn. Pours clear mahogany with a lightly tanned head. Aroma of roasted malt with cocoa, coffee and hints of burnt wood. Moderate to medium sweet with balanced and lovely roasty flavours and a light bitterness in the finish. Quite delicious.

Bought in local Tesco and I like this one. Pour with a good sized brownish head and you can see a deep defined black color in your glass. Smells like a morning roasted coffee maybe cappuccino (not sure). Finish medium dry, bitter.

Botella de 50 cl en el cabanon de Avilés en el momento el 29-06-2014. Color negro brillante con espuma beige oscura persistente. Sabores y aromas ligeros de maltas tostadas con toques de café y sobretodo de chocolate y cacao (sobretodo al coger temperatura ), con algunas especias suaves, vainilla, combinados con un amargo final, bastante ligero, pero bueno. Para repetir sin problemas, bastante ligera y fácil de beber con sus 5.2 vol, lo mejor esta de la mitad al final. No esta mal.

Bottle. Pours opaque brownish black with small white to light brown head. Aroma is sweet malt, roasted malt, caramel, sweet licorice, grain, straw and gravy. Taste is light to medium sweet, light bitter and faint sour. Body is smooth and creamy with soft carbonation. Finish is long and light sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, licorice, gravy, syrup, brown sugar, licorice mints and red berries cordial.
