UPDATED: APR 15, 2015 1) After-hours promotion party at The Penguin,13/05/12. Bottle in dimpled half pint glass, dancing. Black with ruby glints and a fine tan collar. Weak grilled veg aroma. Cardboard and grilled veg scattered with iron filings taste. Beautiful, sweet refuse. WE ARE GOING UP, WE ARE GOING UP!!!!! 535312. 2) 2 years later, down and not dancing any more. This is a decent low ABV stout and Shep’s best beer by default and by virtue of not tasting exactly like their innumerable other cheapies brewed for supermarkets, Gentle rust, ash and weak black coffee with a smear of bitter chocolate. Very, very easy to chug down just like a good stout should be so scoring it up to 636312.
