3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Brown 500ml bottle: BBD unknown. Poured into a pint tankard on 5th Nov 2013.
Itís black: the head is deep with a creamy foam texture and tan coloured, it looks great.
Roasted and almost burnt malts fill the nose, rich coffee notes rise out of the tankard and you somehow know itís going to be dry on the tongue because of the aroma.
The smell didnít lie, this is a dry Stout: it has Bourneville Chocolate within its flavours along with ground coffee and just plain over roasted malts. Any real bitterness is always covered by the semi-creamy body feel, although it is just under the surface throughout.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Coffee chocolatey aromas, nutty. Black with off-white minimal head. Good, woody, deep tastes but slight metallic taste typical of these mass produced beers which lets it down. Oaky almost with a lingering roughness on the palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nose is burnt toast, slight cereal touch of cola. Taste is smoke, plums, licorice. Slight coffee in the finish with some latte and cocoa. Mouthfeel is not full enough and too carbonated.
Much better than I was expecting, not bad at all.
