This magnificent example of a classic double stout delivers a velvety-smooth palate of dry, burnt flavours - complemented by roast, cocoa and coffee notes. Black, creamy and delicious; it is a Shepherd Neame masterpiece.

Bottled. Taste of roasted black bread, dark chocolate, coffee. Light bitter. Tastes like really classic stout. Nothing interesting, but in a good way.

Very dark brown / black beer, with small brown head. Not for long lasting soft carbonation. Aroma of chocolate, toasted malt, and roasted coffee beans. Strong bitter in the end. Taste samiliar with aroma - dark chocolate and roasted coffee beans.

Bottled. Looks black, head is smooth and light brown. Slightly visible fizz. Smell is strong and mature - roasted bread and coffee and dark chocolate notes. Taste reminds hardly roasted coffee. Palate is felt on the roof of the mouth, also on the root of the tongue. Texture is thick is oily.

From 0,5l bottle, BBD: Jan 2106 Pours dark clear brown liquid, small brown creamy head, Aroma: roasted notes, quite intensive, bit of dark chocolate and red fruits, but not very harmonic, rather simple, fine, but could be better. Taste: medium sweet, medium bitter, light to medium sour, roasted espresso notes, chocolate, Palate: light to medium body (bit watery), average carbonation, slick to creamy mouthfeel, long roasty acid aftertaste, Overall: fine, but too watery, not enough complexe.

Robust, full, intense and yet sessionable beer. Light roasted tart, strong, chocolaty bitterness, lots of dark chocolate, cocoa and roast in the flavour. Light notes of pale malt, coffee and earth. Creamy mouthfeel. Awesome, classic stuff.

Butelka 0,5l. Kolor prawie czarny, piana jasnobrązowa, drobnopęcherzykowa długo pozostaje..Aromat czekoladowo kawowy. W smaku kawa, raczej wytrawne, przyjemne w piciu.
