This magnificent example of a classic double stout delivers a velvety-smooth palate of dry, burnt flavours - complemented by roast, cocoa and coffee notes. Black, creamy and delicious; it is a Shepherd Neame masterpiece.

Swietne wytrawne dry stout. Gozkie, palone czekoladowo kawowe. Wszystko to mocno intensywnie i pachnace i zwlaszcza w smaku.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 26th Jan 14. Pours in an almost viscous way, with a yeasty looking head giving way to a wonderful espresso-like settle. A slightly underwhelming aroma but a fantastically complex and varied taste, with highly bitter, malty notes including coffee and nuts at different stages. The main palate of flavour isn’t too lingering, which is good for a bear this bold. Soft-flat level fizziness is also welcome, and there’s an oily-creamy feeling that hangs around which is lovely just before bed.

Appearance with black color and beige and high head of foam. Aroma of roasting (coffee, chocolate, etc..) In the mouth the roasted malt is strong, as well as its carbonation. An excellent double stout!
