3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: Chocolate, toast, bread crust, syrup,
Appearance: Clear copper body. Thin, long lasting, off-white head
Initial Flavour: Medium sweetness, light bitterness, bready,
Finishing Flavour: light bitterness, light citrus
Palate: Light body, light, fizzy carbonation
Overall: Stunning aroma! Would like a bit more body and more bitterness to balance the sweetness, but it is a really nice beer and definitely something that you can give to a new beer drinker!
500 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Andre.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle. Copper with an off white foam. Aromas are light toffee with soap and earthy hops. Some hints of berries. Flavours are soda water with low toffee and floral, soapy notes. Very carbonated and pasteurised. My worse ever day of beers continues.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
A mid orange-brown coloured beer with a weak white head. A nutty, caramel malt aroma, and a little wet wood. Dry mouthfeel. A bitter, green hop taste to start, tart, pithy citrus fruit is subdued by a breakfast cereal sweetness, with a hint of spice coming through towards the end. The finish is lengthy and bitter.

Freemasons Arms, Covent Garden. With Piers after the London Marathon. Good malty base with powdery bittering hops, but no fragrance hops. Malt is caramel and attractive. OK.

A rather thin taste that does not hang around in the mouth. Quite a nice taste initially but fades to a vague bitterness and not much else.
