Golden with a small frothy head. It has the familiar Shepherd Neame soapy hop aroma and a small fruitiness.

On cask at "La Abadía", León. Soft herbal and malt aromas. Pours light copper, clear, with thin white head, non persistent, good lacing. Light body and flat carbonation. Taste is malty, herbal and slightly bitter. Dry finish. Stronger taste woud be appreciated.

Pale amber color. Small white head. biscuity caramel nose. Light berry fruits. The taste is shortbread, sweet spun sugar. Malty, bruised apples and some sweet cherry. Light/medium body. Soft carbonation. Pretty simple but well done.

Cask handpull, The Freemason’s Arms, Covent Garden, 04/04/12. Ornately laced copper. Muted, just-rubbed jellied orange hop nose. Watery but with clean sherbety hop; digestives, aniseed. Light green hop, floweriness on the burp. Dab of minerals, vomit. Thin and bland as the bottle really.

Cask at The Jamaica Inn, thanks to Alastair. Pours clear, golden-brown with a fine, white foam head. Lightly toasted malts in the nose with subtle fruits. Light sweet flavor, some toasty malts, faint leafy bitters, faint ripe fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweet finish, bread, mild fruit, light earthy bitterness. A very basic bitter.

[Cask at Neptune’s Hall, Broadstairs] Pale amber, slight white head. Unpleasant vegetable & green leaf smell. Better on tasting - it’s smooth and quite resinous with a slight sparkle. There’s some caramel and grass to offset the smell, but it’s still really not very pleasant.

Cask conditioned handpump Dover Castle Brighton. An amber coloured beer with an off-white puddle of head and some lacing. A leafy hoppy nose but predominantly malty in the mouth. Easy going fruity berry notes. Perfectly drinkable.

Cask - The Monument, Canterbury. Poured a clear, coppery amber colour with a frothing soapy white head. Tangy, biscuity malts, some caramel and earthy hops on the nose. A light acidity with the Sheps’ yeast character and a leafy dry bitterness. Medium in body, has soft carbonation and a shortish finish.
