COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Hailing from the tradition of 18th Century IPAs, which relied on generous hopping to protect exports during arduous journeys, this modern incarnation retains the strength, body and strong hop character which is synonymous with this beers provenance.

A glorious showcase of the distinct, heavily hopped beers for which Shepherd Neame is famed, India Pale Ale delivers potent bitterness, offset with generous amounts of pale ale malt to deliver a balanced, yet uncompromising brew.

A classic India Pale Ale: amber in colour, really strong and malty aroma. intensively bitter at the same time, the bitterness offers some hints of citrus and pine. Long lasting finish! Still it comes well-balanced.

Fruits, caramel and some floral hops in the aroma. Amber with a white head. Medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Overall a nice English Strong Ale.

Pours amber with a small, light tan head. Light hoppy aroma with some pine notes. Taste is bitter but not too overpowering, other than that its somewhat weak. Mouthfeel is soft, slight carbonation. It lacks a bit as both an IPA and an ale, and as a combination of the two its not too impressive. Alright for sure, but nothing to write home about. For the price (3,5eur a bottle) Id say its not worth it.

Pours clear copper with almost no head. Aroma is faint malt. Taste is caramel with a bit of bitterness towards the end. Watery, bit metallic. Yuck.

50cl bottle from Alko. Mahogany color, thick white head. Nutty, sweet bready aroma, some caramel. Flavor has dark bready notes at first, followed by strong nuttyness, biscuity malts. Bitter, nutty finish. Well hopped beer. Fill bodied, dry. Enjoyable stuff.

Bottle. Mahogny in color, small off-white head. Nuttyness, some floral or soapy notes too in aroma. Hints of bitterness mixed with some nuttyness in taste. Some soapyness in aftertaste, but mostly a fairly dry and nutty finish.

Nummenrannassa. Good beer, not quite light I have used to know IPA to be, of course this is not supposed to be like that either.

500 ml bottle. Clear coppery colour, thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt, swetish fruits, nuts and floral hops. The flavour is caramel-malty, with notes of wood and fruits, and a moderately bitter hoppy finish. Not bad.
