COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Hailing from the tradition of 18th Century IPAs, which relied on generous hopping to protect exports during arduous journeys, this modern incarnation retains the strength, body and strong hop character which is synonymous with this beer’s provenance.

A glorious showcase of the distinct, heavily hopped beers for which Shepherd Neame is famed, India Pale Ale delivers potent bitterness, offset with generous amounts of pale ale malt to deliver a balanced, yet uncompromising brew.

Flaska @ Akkurat. Rätt torr i arom och smak. Mörkt gul/ljust brun i kroppen.

citrus and earthy aromas from a dark coppery body, no head, big lemon flavoured bitterness, full body, oily feel, average carbonation, astringent spicy finish... this really does smack you in the mouth...

Coppery gold with off white fast dissipating head. Aroma is grass, hay. Touch of citrus. Taste is sweet and bitter at the same time. Some hint of grapefruit medium carbonation. It’s ok. But more of an English strong hoppy bitter not a (much more)hoppy American IPA

Clear pale amber, off-white head. Nose of honey, mint and caramel. Taste medium bitter, light sweetness. Palate slightly sticky. Light carbonation. Fairly abrupt finish.

0.5l bottle. A crystal clear deep golden almost copperish looking one with a medium sized bubbly and light lacing just off-white top. It has quite a sweet nose with rich caramel,a strong English fruitiness with light herbal grassy tones and some red Apple zest. The aroma is not bad at all, classic English style. In the mouth it has a mild oily feeling and the carbonation is just below average. More English bitter flavors, just tubed up a knot. More red zesty melony flavors with a good malty base. Fruity and a bit sweet perhaps, a day it ends with a slightly dry bitter hay/tea-like aftertaste. No a extremely memorable beer, but it definitely gets the thirst away. 08.12.2013

Although from the abv you might expect a US style ipa, this is more of a hoppy English style bitter. The aroma is a bit disappointing, but a good hop kick on the bitter style finish.

In short: a tasty bitter ale.
Pours quite clear amber with little off white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Malty, caramel, fruity aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste follows the nose, mild bitterness, smooth and pleasant.

Copper hue with a fast dissipating off white head. Weak floral nose. Malty flavour with coffee, toasty tones and a bitter slightly hoppy after taste. A bit disappointing. Does not have the hoppy power that you would expect.

Poured medium brown with an off white head. Aroma of muted dark fruit and roast malt. Light body, flavour is watery, burnt malt and weak berries.
