Bottle at the first part of Tour de Østfold RBNG-14, thanks Yngwie for sharing this at the bus! :-) Clear amber body, medium white creamy head. Nose is grass, pine, hay, caramel malts and hints of straw and red berries. Taste is dry grass, red berries, straw and hints of red fruits. Medium body and carbonation. Pretty decent IPA in the English tradition.

Shared bottle @RBNG2014 bus. Crystal clear, dark copper colored body. Dense ashy-blond head. Earthy hop nose. Some sweetish peppery caramel malts and hint of flowers and yellow fruits. Firm bitterness. Rich malt flavores with more peppery caramel. Well-bodied. Sweetish malty bitter ending. A pretty good one.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. A clear dark golden to amber colored beer with a finger thick off-white head. A bit on the malty side, with nuts and some bread. Caramel. The hops play second fiddle. There a nice bitterness in the flavor, but it lacks on the hoppy flavors. Full body, soft carbonation. Caramel, bread and a decent bitterness in the end. Overall, a nice beer, but I prefer more hops in my beers. 140215

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled Asda. Really like this. Uncharacteristically lacking in Sheps standard aroma and taste, loads of lovely biscuit flavours, subtle fruity flavours, with a wee bit of raspberry and peach. Good, prickly bitter bite, warming finish, with more fruit late on the tongue. Would have scored a bit higher if there’d been a bit more aroma.

Aroma: caramel malts. Appearance: dark amber, clear, small white frothy head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: medium long bitterness, low carbonation. Overall: nice Strong Ale, don’t be misled by IPA in its name. Bottle from Drinker’s Paradise, London.
