COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
Hailing from the tradition of 18th Century IPAs, which relied on generous hopping to protect exports during arduous journeys, this modern incarnation retains the strength, body and strong hop character which is synonymous with this beer’s provenance.

A glorious showcase of the distinct, heavily hopped beers for which Shepherd Neame is famed, India Pale Ale delivers potent bitterness, offset with generous amounts of pale ale malt to deliver a balanced, yet uncompromising brew.

500ml bottle from Asda. Aroma is fruity with hops. Flavour is caramel malt with a herbal hop note. Nice bitterness to finish.

Fantastic spicy undertones with a very smooth finish. At 6.1% it packs a punch but will keep you coming back for more. A new favourite!

Clean pale amber in colour, head is thin and disappears quickly (loses a point!) but otherwise looks good! Light nose of malty caramel and lovely citrus hops, nice! Well hopped palate with slightly sweet malt, the finish goes on for ages with different layers of zesty hops and malt appearing and lingering, delicious! A crackin’ beer, doesn’t feel like a 6.1%, drinks very easily, lovely!

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Chestnut brown in colour, malty-ale-typical aroma. The beer starts malty, very full-bodied. The mainpart is nicely hopped, flowery aroma together with malty ale character. Nicely bitter. The aftertaste is long, intense malty and nice bitter! Thanks to Seanyfo for this great beer! --> 13/12/13/13

Bottle. Orange and clear appearance with a small head. Slightly fruity but lacking a real presence of hops. Pleasant well above average beer that has jumped on the IPA bandwagon.

Malty chocolate aroma. Tastes of this and herbal hops. Sweet caramel leads to a medium bitter finish.

Cerveja com estilo India Pale Ale bem inglês, falta corpo e aroma, mas o sabor é bastante agradável, com sabor de maltes e amargor nada agressivo para o estilo.

Dark amber, clear, thin bubbly head; yeasty aroma; taste is toffee, dried fruit and earthy English hops - an understated IPA, the whole thing is reminscent of White Shield, and is equally good.
