Room temp bottle. Pours a clear red brown with a big white head. Smells like a garden - grass, tomato plant. Slight caramel with a light but frothy body. Very yeasty with a slight bitterness. There are hints of other flavours but I’d really be searching because they’re very mild. Quite watery in flavour.

Aroma is slightly sweet with English hops, some toffee, fruity notes and hints of grain. Flavour has toffee, English hops, biscuits and some berries. Yet another bitter.

Half litre poured into standard pint glass. Auburn colour, clear, 1 finger tanned head, decent retention. Initally aroma was weak but some citrus fruits and notes of Cascade hop came through. Had a bit of farmyard to it, but in a pleasant way. Tasted fruity, had notes of grapefruit, balanced bitterness, finish was long, bitter and wheaty. Medium body, well carbonated, slightly coarse. Pleasant ESB, refreshing decent amount of character.

from Amstein - clear copper-amber beer with a moderate head retention; gently spicy with subtle notes of berries; moderate malt body and with a fair carbonation; some tart and earthy bitterness; dry and long aftertaste of red fruits and spices - quite harsh

Bottle shared with McTapps. Bitter disappointment. Starts nicely hippy but turns out as a super dry and bitter beast. If you like that it’s OK, if not then it’s tough. I don’t.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. After having drunken this beer a lot from tap in our last holdays, I expected a lot from the bottle, which we bought at a local Tesco. But expectations got literally bitterly disappointed. Amber in colour, low head. Tastes of sour mash, grains and earth finish up in a very dry and awful bitter ending. Phew.
