Late Red is a complex, richly-flavoured autumn hop ale. With an appropriately Autumnal auburn hue, this premium beer achieves a perfect balance between rich, dark malt flavours, and a strong, robust hoppiness.

Not bad at all. Hoppy like an IPA but malty and dry like a red ale. Smooth and soapy like a bitter. Goes down very easily. A solid English brew - good on a cold autumn/winter evening.

Pleasant fruity hop aroma. Gentle caramelly malts, red berries. Soft palate, gentle carbonation. Finish sweetly caramelly malts. Gently twiggy bitterness.

Pours amber, dark, clear, little head to speak of. Fruity hoppy aroma. Taste is toffee, with raisiny brambley hints, nuttiness as well. Fairly standard Shepherd Neame bitter.

Rating from 2009. Kastanienbraune Farbe, sehr angenehme kräuterige Hopfennote, die gut zur Ale-Malzigkeit passt. Sehr langer Hopfenintensiver, käuteriger Nachgeschmack. Dezent bitter. Leichte Säuerlichkeit und angenehm milde Ale-Note. --> Sehr sehr toll! 14/13/13/14

Red-brown with a medium off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and floral hops. Taste was well balanced, sweet initially with a sour and bitter finish. Oily texture with light carbonation. Decent beer.

Cask at Tom Cribb, Shep Neame, London. Pours clear amber with a fine, frothy white head. Fruity aroma, some orange and berries, light caramel. Light to medium sweet flavor, low bitterness, bready malts, more berries. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderately sweet finish, more bready, lightly toasted malts, light fruity sugars, suggestions of caramel. Mild character but OK.
