1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
April, 2006: Master Brew XX Keg @ General At Sea, Chatham. 3.7%
Wet, cold, mildly fizzy and with some fuzzy cardboard and tinny malt flavours. This is drinkable, but not totally enjoyable. Not quite offensive, but almost. [1.4]

On tap in Kent. Thick, creamy head. Auburn in colour. Metallic aroma but fine, though simple taste. Quite bitter, not carbonated, earthy flavours of wood.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On (chilled) tap at Old Endeavor, Dover, England. Right, well, quite smooth and creamy as it goes, sort of a hybrid between Guinness and ale, but with an amber colour. Alright, and certainly quaffable, but something makes you unhappy with it after drinking so many good cask ales.
