Aroma: Caramel, light hops, medicinal/old plastic plasters
Appearance: Clear copper body. Off-white, fizzy head. No lacing.
Flavour: Medium bread, light bitterness, slight acidity
Palate: Medium-high carbonation, light body.
Overall: The smell is off-putting! The taste is OK, but not for a bitter. The body is too light.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle at home. Pours a golden amber colour topped with an off-white-colored, medium head. Its aroma is characterized by fudge, hops, leather, bread and some dried fruit and cardamom. The taste does not possess as much complexity, but rather malty with touches of leather and hops, and dry in the finish. Mouth feel is smooth, while the bitterness is at a medium level. In summary the flavour did not follow up the aroma that had several interesting items, and felt a little unbalanced but with a decent hoppy touch.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2013 I really like this. Amber/golden colour. Aroma is sweet/toffee and a touch of typical shepherd neame pungent hops coming through. Taste finishes quite bitter and dry but there is a bit of fruit and sweetness to start. a bitter bitter with a nice balance overall. Fairly lively carbonation. A fine mellow easy drinking ale with plenty of flavour.
