Cask, Special;
This new beer, brewed especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival, is named after the sailing barges which were used in the Swale, Medway and Thames estuaries. It is a full-bodied, fruity ale with a moderate bitterness, hopped at three stages of its brewing process to deliver a thirst-quenching fl avour and a stunning aroma and palate. Hops used: Cascade, Styrian Goldings, Tettnang

Cask conditioned handpump Cordwainer Northampton 01/11/ A golden to copper coloured beer with a white head and lace. Very light berry fruits throughout. Seems English hopping rather than the selection quoted. Seems dull at first but a pleasant subtlety of flavour comes through and it’s pretty palateable.

Hamilton Hall Spoons. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is smooth, very modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts, little lactose. Light cherry. Touch of candy. Light sweet floralness. Semi dry finish. A light and sweet beer, is it a bitter?
