bottle from pivnizub. Clear chestnut-brown colour, small white head. Malty, pleasant sweetness plus some caramel and roasetd malts, dried figs and dates. Nice.

DruncanVeasey (7882) - NUNEATON, TOP, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 26, 2015
Festive red skimmed with pinkish white. Scarce aroma with suggestions of aniseed, treacle, berries and wet hop cone. Papery biscuit, flying saucer Shep’s flavour with streaks of rust and jam. Hay and sherbet. Drinkable and meekly flowery as always.

beeebon (336) - Cornwall, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2015
Pours a copper colour with thin head. Smell is caramel malt and slightly spicy. Taste is dry, lightly bitter and sweet and rather thin/watery despite it being quite gassy with a metallic edge. Drinkable although rather bland and not something to buy again.

eastkenttom (111) - herne bay, Kent, ENGLAND - FEB 6, 2015
Tastes mildly festive I guess, but hardly enough to warrant a festive beer label. Not that great, seemed to go flat quickly. Fruity, but only in a subtle manner. Meh. Won’t buy again.

jaghana (4945) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - FEB 3, 2015
Bottle 50cl, a clear amber beer with good head and retention. Nose is on caramel, caramalt, light resin. Aroma is quite bitter, resinous with light honey touch, metallic notes, caramalt and caramel, dry, light wet paper, grassy hops. Finish is a bit short with again wet paper touch, bit thin but this is normal for 3.8°.

Bottles from Rehills and Coppers, Newcastle. Amber coloured with burnt toffee and woody flavours followed by chocolate, light vanilla and almond on the finish finish.

BeerViking (3474) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 27, 2014
Very ordinary Sheps light bitter. Light hoppy nose, a little sweet malt, slight peppery hop finish, but where’s the spice? This is a travesty when compared to the draught ale of the same name.
