Cask@ShakespearsHeadLondon. Flavourful beer. Bitter, light floral, hint of toffee. Light brown, off-white head, good lace. Bit thinnish though. But for just 3.7% ABV a good beer.

Cask @ The State Bar. Mild nutty malt aroma. Medium brown colour. Harsh sour grassy flavour. Not nice.

Spoons. Clear amber beer, ghost of a white head. Light palate. Zero carbonation. Dry malt. Thin hops. A little dust. Neutral finish. Dull bordering on offensive. Sheps can make good beer but beers like this just torpedo any attempt to take them seriously!

Draught at The Flying Horse, Gatwick - 16/12/10. Chocolate in the nose and taste. Perhaps some vanilla in the palate.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2012 Cask Conditioned handpump Moon On The Square Northampton. A brown beer with a thin off-white head and lacing. A yeasty beer with fruit and biscuit in the mouth, but otherwise very little of anything. Quite boring. Score 2.7

Cask, William Wygston, Wigston. Amber with a thin foam. Aromas are dusty grain with light cookie dough and yeast. Quite peppery. Flavours are grain and toast malts with soda water. Has some hints of Autumn fruit with a peppery finish. Pretty weak.

Cask (handpump) @ Doggetts Coat and Badge Blackfriars Bridge London, 1 Blackfriars Road, London SE1 9PD, England
Clear medium amber orange color with a average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting - diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, nutty, keller, earthy - damp stained. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091227]

Cask@The Cambridge, London. Copper coloured, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, floral and mildly grassy hops. Some slight spicyness as well. Flavour is the same along with some chocolate and nutty notes as well. Rather pleasant Shepherd Neame brew.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2012 1) The Burnt Post, Coventry. Bronze with lace drapes. Lovely fresh malty biscuit character meshed with delicately woodsy and lemony hops- bit of the Stone influence rubbing off? Would never have identified this as Shep Neame blind. Rich Tea afters with choc and nutty hints. Great balance and drinkability more suited for summer than the fireside maybe, but I’m not complaining. Tasty sessionable stuff. 737414=3.5. 2) 26/12/12, The Felix. Red amber under a creamy white top. Light herbal red berry jelly fruit aroma. Soft cardboard, almond, washy nothingness, oak, cream and stone finish. Heavily watered down since my last encounter.
