earthy, leaves, composty smells brown, clear, minimal head, light sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, thin feel, soft carbonation, bitter, by far the most over hyped over rated beer on this entire website . very bland. looked very good but it was disappointing. the head was gone in under a minute. it was as thin as the rest of the beer. the flavor wasn’t anything special. tasted like garden pond water

Drank from a pint glass poured from a twelve ounce bottle, thank you Kevin. Pours a nice rusty amber color with decent white head and little carbonation. A really good bitter . Would definitely have another.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2014 500ml can served in a Pint glass. A: Pours a clear copper amber color forming a medium light yellow head. Medium retention and lots of lingering and molasses chunks of lacings formed and left in the glass S: Very malty in the nose. Strong notes of caramel, roasted malts, grassy, citrus and a bit piny hops. Notes of wood. Slightly sweet and biscuity. A bit fruity with some notes of plums and grapes T: Follows the nose. Sweet caramel malts in upfront. Notes of roasted malts. Moderate grassy bitterness which is a bit citrus and piny too. Crispy and biscuity. Some fruity notes, mainly plums M: Light body, medium to low carbonation. Malty and boscuity aftertaste. Grassy hops also left in the mouth O: Absolutely drinkable. Perfect session beer. Delicious British Ale [ BA Review @ 7/21/2012 ]

Bottle at Urban Golf, Kensington. Reddish brown, lots and lots of carbonation. Aroma of caramel malt, forest floor, some strawberry, biscuit spread. Taste is a uniform but satisfying malty bittersweet with a more rounded bitter finish. A bit of spicy hop in the aftertaste. Far too carbonated. Not a patch on cask, but good enough

0.5L bottle. Red amber with a frothy off-white head. Aromas are dusty / mineral, herby hops, cherry, cooked vegetables and some skunky notes. Flavor is pretty much all herby hops along with more of the mineral flavors. Finishes with a long, mild herby hop. Medium body with a thin mouthfeel and mild, albeit sharp carbonation. Overall, a mild beer. Very drinkable, but not much character.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2014 Bottle of 50 cl, in a English pint glass. Woaw, such an hard beer to note. Strong taste with a very caramel aroma, palate a little bit smoky but thick feel, nice head... I’ve just hated it the first time, then loved it the second. It’s a beer which must be tried.
