.5l bottle from Supermarket Lutakko Pours clear copper with medium head. Leaves some lacing. Aroma is hops, some roasted malts, sweet malts, bready notes and nuts. Flavor is mostly same + some raisin and hint of plums. Nice beer!

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear, amber colour with a dense, off-white head. Aroma was typical SN; their yeast, caramel and some malt character. Flavours were initially boiled sweets, straw and a fake, pasteurised note. Finish became highly bitter, but not in a good way; really metallic, with little else going on. I’m sure this tasted better when I was 18...

clear amber colour, one inch beige-ish creamy head; aroma of caramel, some bread, grass and hints of dried fruits; taste is the same with some less perfect metallic-cardboard like note; easily drinkable

12oz bottle, typical English bitter Ale. Light brown pour, caramel aroma; medium bitterness, light sweetness and sourness; medium body, definitely balanced. Only 4.5abv, good brew to drink a few of.

From a bottle. Pours copper with a thin, lacy head. Thin aromas of malt and banana; yeast. Taste is mild--a bit of banana and clove; slight malt sweetness, bready notes, and then a whisper of citrus before a dry bite of hops. Light, peppery mouthfeel. Not a horrible ale, but not exceptional. I wouldn’t avoid this one, but I wouldn’t seek it out either.

A delicious bitter! This style usually does not travel too well when coming from England and the ones we make here are not on par with theirs. Aroma was caramel malt and not much else. A little thin. Pour was a nice hazy dark gold with a thin off white ring for a head. Taste was delicious. Toffee, caramel and sweet malt. Nice carbonation which I’m sure the Brits don’t like. Don’t like English beer as a whole, but would love to try some good bitters fresh because of this beer.

Reddish brown with thin white head. Nose is roast malt with traces of treacle and citrus. Taste light sweet and medium bitter. Moderate carbonation. Finish fairly long and bittersweet finish.
