Bottle 0,50L. Clear cooper color with tiny, frothy, off-white head that dissipate fast. I left the beer for a couple of minutes and let this way the stinky (bottle caused) aroma go away. Than I found some nutty aroma mixed with caramel and brown sugar. Taste goes from light bitter start to medium bitter finish with nutty note. Medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. I really doesn’t expected much from this beer, mostly because transparent bottle, but all in all it’s not that bad.

Pours in clear amber witha firm head and agreeable nose. Taste is fruity and very ale typical in old English style. Enjoyable pub beer without sharp edges.

500 ml bottle from a friend. Light murky brown appearance with a tan head and light lacing. Aroma of musty yeast, toffee, caramel malt and toasted grain. Similar flavor, smooth, malty and kind of old tasting. Light to medium body with a thin, creamy feel and minimal carbonation. Not awful, but kind of hard to drink overall.

500ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a tan coloured head. A good looking pint. The nose is heavy with hard water notes, caramel, and a light spice note that almost smells like cloves. Taste wise, crisp mineral heavy notes, with light caramel and a faint note of treacle that turns into watery metallic bitterness, light wood notes, and some malt in the finish. Is it spectacular? No. Is it a solid 4.2% session ale? Yup.

This beer looks really attractive, and the the taste lives up to its initial appearance. Initially there are citrus notes, which give way to a bitter aftertaste. Quite mild for a bitter - but this is a good thing in my book. I’d definitely try this again with a good curry.
