Can, 0,44L From a local store. Red colour, very clear. Aroma has fruity aromas. Slight floral hoppiness. Flavor-wise this beer is kinda flat. Low carbonation. Flavors of caramel with a maltyness to it. It’s okay, but nothing special.

500ml Bottle. Copper pour with lively carbonation but no head at all. Gingery, gassy, slightly sweet nose leads into a flavour with roasty bread and spice notes discernible and a reasonable bitter finish. Perfectly drinkable but where’s the love?

Beer is a deep amber color. Froth high and dense. Malty taste rather dry, with hay and grass aroma and a little caramel. Bitterness serious pervasive, gradually fades into the floral aftertaste. Compelled by a thoughtful and unhurried savoring.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear deep amber color with thin soapy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma is grassy, herbal, citric and caramelly. Taste starts with light sweet toffee and citrus, following is refreshing sour herbal and fruity, mouthfeel is dry and mild spicy, while finish is moderate bitter.Light body, thin texture and average carbonation in palate. Just a thirst killer...

can 4.2%. Poured clear dark amber with a thin white head. Aroma of toasty malt. Medium-light body, average carbonation, tart finish. Flavour is sweet and tart, caramel malt, slightly woody, bitter hops with an astringent feel. Lingering finish.

Pours copper colour with white head dissipating slowly with nice lacing. Gentle cabonation. Lots of toffee with digestive biscuit and some white pepper on the nose. Light to medium mouth feel. Toffee, light orange citrus, pepper with hop bitterness. Finishes dry, hoppy. Tasty, nicely balanced Kentish ale.

A light hop aroma characterize this English bitter. It is a typical English bitter with a distinctive flavor of hops and a slight taste of caramel malt. The taste of ginger is also significant and at times a little too intrusive. It’s a good all-year-around ale in addition to being easy to drink will also be good as the party beverage. The finish is very lengthy and bitter.

Briliant amber coloured beer with a one finger off-white head with decent retention and good lacing. Aroma: intense and sweetish; malty, with notes of tobacco, apple, brown sugar and wood. Taste: faint, medium dry with a dry finish; malts are noticeable with a brown sugary sweetness, then there are herbs. Bitterness is earthy and herbal, not too intense, but still dominating over the faint taste. Medium carbonation, medium body, slightly on the watery side. It’s an OK beer, but slightly unbalanced. The taste was so weak that the beer seemed watery, the bitterness dominated over the malts. Too bad, especially since the aroma was really nice.

CONCLUSION : bière très correcte, en mémorial 1940.
