0.5L bottle. Dark amber, foam stays 20sec. Nice strong hop aroma. Bready, like kvass, raisin and prune flavors. Soft caramel taste stays few second and after it overcooked sugar. Cranberry tone and medium bitter on finish.

21.04.2013. Bottle. Pours amber with small head. Aroma is malty caramel and toffee with light fruitness. Not much hops. Some biscuits sweetness with caramel. Medium bitterness with floral hops aroma ( too low). OK beer with strong malty character. It could be more hoppy.

Aroma - was very faint of bready malts, not much more Appearance - a clean copper color, with no real head to speak of. Taste - it’s bread malt, some little bits of hops, and a back of the finish spice Feel - it’s light, thin, has average carbonation, and is long in the finish with a slight tanginess. Sadly forgettable, I really like the style.

Belle couleur dorée; arômes moyennement agréables; goût houblonné avec une finale assez amère; bière quelque peu décevante

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light amber with a slight ruby hue and minimal head. Aroma of light citrus and a strong malt backbone. Taste is light bitter, follows aroma. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and a decently LNG finish. Not bad, enjoyable but nothing I would seek out again.

Smells like concrete dust. Pale clear amber with remnants of head are all that last. I love that redirection. Its just too dusty. Its almost like licking a gravel road. Boo.

Very "English" in style and while I like bitter beers, I like it to be balanced by hops.

I bought a bottle earlier, first time in years. Upon opening it smells much skunkier than I remember. Taste is malt and caramel and it’s a bit bitter. drinkable but nothing special at all.

The Bottle of Britain(!) Earthy, cask wood caramel aroma. Clear copper color. Very bitter and not that, just a peat flavor. Hoppy bite but otherwise an easy drinker. A good modern bitter ale. When entertaining German guests, don’t forget to mention the war.
