3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle LCBO Pours amber with thin white head. Pleasant aroma of malts, notes of bread and toffee. Fairly light bodied and a little watery, light carbonation. Hop bitterness offset nicely by sweet malts. Overall quite light and dry. Nice.

500ml bottle at home. Pours clear red brown, no head. Aromas of metal, lemon peel and caramel. Taste is sweet with a metallic bitterness that lingers unpleasantly. Only ok.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Caramel and some light citrus peel in the nose. Very nice malt profile in the flavor - hops chime in later but are more of an afterthought than a recognizable element of the beer. Finish is rather nondescript - yet on multiple quaffs of this beer its bitter and herbal hop character does emerge. I like it - we have far too few bitters widely available in the U.S. A pretty good pint.

Notes of caramel and some hops in the aroma, white pillowy head and amber color. Pleasantly bitter in taste, solid backbone, bitter finish. A bit of diacetyl. Decent one.
