I have rating notes for this beer, but only the vaguest memory of having tasted it. I think my father bought it for me and I had it at Christmas 2007...

Pours an amber-gold with a moderate head with poor retention. Aroma is slightly sour, strong hops and corn. Nice hoppy taste! Diacetyl (clear bottle...) and a bit sudsy. Lagerish malting, crisp finish. Thin body but ok, light carb but creamy. I like the hops; very sessionable.

Bottle bought somewhere in Kent. Aroma have some british, flowery hops, bit sharp. Some maltiness. Clear, copper -brown coloured with an off-white head. Taste is bitter, bit sweet. It has some british hops and maltiness. Bit sharp/astringent. Not really great. Cask is much better.

500mL bottle from the LCBO. Pours a nice red/amber with a big off-white head. Aroma: Skunky British hops on top of (sour?) malt body that one would expect from the style. Flavour: Skunky and metallic upfront, leading into some nice but too breif malts, and then finishing with some nice assertive bitterness. A touch of diacetyll. Maybe a touch overly carbonated. Not all that bad though, I was worried that being from a clear bottle would spell doom for this one, but on the whole it’s a nice and enjoyable Kentish bitter. A brown bottle would work wonders for this beer.

Bottle. Light sour and sweat, then it gets moderate sweet. A small white frothy head, which is normal long lasting; orange body. The taste is very bitter with an average duration. The body is dry and medium strong with an soft carbonation and a light astringent finish.
