Deliciously refreshing, this pale golden ale will quench the driest palate on those long hot summer days. The distinct hoppy, fruity aroma is complemented by a wonderful combination of malt and spicy citrus flavours. A brew with a good bitter bite and hoppy finish. ABV from 4% to 3.8%.

500ml bottle. Pours clear light golden with a decent head that disappears quite quickly. Fairly standard aroma - slightly grassy with a touch of spice. Flavour us pretty generic for a pale ale. Some sweetness, a bit of citrus, light bitterness. Pleasant enough but there’s really nothing to set it apart.

Light orange-brown with a fast-settling head and the usual Sheps herbal and orangey aromas. Firm bitterness over lightly toasted marmalade malt. Finish brings lingering grapefruit and peppery bitterness. Decent.

50cl bottle from Lidl, Camberley. A pale amber pour with a billowing white head; aroma of Shep yeast and malt; fresh grassy bitter taste; and a touch of spice to finish. A fairly standard bottled Shep beer.

Bottle from Lidl, Walsall. Aroma of sheps yeast and malts. Taste is malts, some herb and a little green. Pretty much the same as their other bottled beers.

Pours light amber to dark yellowish, some minimal light soapy top. Aroma- typical British hops nose bite, mild one as in taste- just herbal, grassy no fruity esters. Light sweet, light bitter for style, easy drinkable, light bodied with medium lasting aftertaste, herbal one, light dry finish. One time try, but not bad.

A mid amber gold coloured beer with a weak white head. A light hoppy aroma, mild citrus fruit, then a background maltiness. Dry mouthfeel. A bitter hop taste to start, zesty citrus fruit, soon fades into a dry maltiness. The finish is mild and bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from ASDA, Eastbourne shared with McTapps. Well, after a two year hiatus this is my first Shepherd Neame and it hits the points in an instant. Easy going piwo with some peaches and lemons in the aroma. High drinkability, fine, not too bitter finish and some lemons in the back. Good one. Maybe the best from them so far.

Bottle from local Lidl in Eastbourne. Beer pours out in a clear golden-amber colour with low head and flat body. Aroma of hops and mild berries. Taste of mild hops, light barley, malt, bread and apples. Flowery finish. Not as bitter as many other beers from Neame - I enjoyed it.

Bottle. Small head with a spicy aroma. Medium body with some citrus standing out. A bit sharp and edgy for my taste but still a reasonable beer. Better than quite a few others I have tried recently from this brewery.
