zacgillbanks (1872) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - DEC 25, 2013
Bottle from Lidl, Wrekenton. This amber ale has almond and burnt toffee flavours, malty and red fruity flavours with a nutty, woody finish. A typical Shepherd Neame taste but with a lower ABV.

DruncanVeasey (6950) - NUNEATON, Top 24, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - DEC 16, 2013
Clear red fluid in a clear glass bottle from Lidl. Another one. Pours clear red pillowed with white. Smells like a rusty gate hinge; a bridleway, sawdust in a recently cleaned rabbit hutch. Flavour of desperation; flatness, nosebleed, fossilised hop, bloodily metallic 1970s keg bitter in a pub on a West Midlands council estate on the verge of closure. The estate; not just the pub. Drinkable.

Pasteurisation aroma, some bread. Light sweet flavor, some dry bread, weak leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light dry bready malt finish, mellow leafy bitterness.
