A deliciously fruity, spicy, festive ale that will leave a warming glow and make your baubles sparkle. A Christmas cracker of a beer.

Bottle from Lidl, Wrekenton. This amber ale has almond and burnt toffee flavours, malty and red fruity flavours with a nutty, woody finish. A typical Shepherd Neame taste but with a lower ABV.

Clear red fluid in a clear glass bottle from Lidl. Another one. Pours clear red pillowed with white. Smells like a rusty gate hinge; a bridleway, sawdust in a recently cleaned rabbit hutch. Flavour of desperation; flatness, nosebleed, fossilised hop, bloodily metallic 1970s keg bitter in a pub on a West Midlands council estate on the verge of closure. The estate; not just the pub. Drinkable.

Bottle at the ChrisO Holiday Tasting, London - thanks to me. You’re welcome, fellas, for this rare Shep tick! Pours perfectly clear gold with a fine, white foam head. Pasteurisation aroma, some bread. Light sweet flavor, some dry bread, weak leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light dry bready malt finish, mellow leafy bitterness. Bland.
