Draught at BrewDog Camden on 5 February 2014. Poured a clear ruby colour with a tight, white head. Sweet aroma of roasted nuts, boiled sweets and pastry. Initial flavours were somewhat artificial; mild chemical notes, some flowery hops and cereal. Finish was toffee sweetness mixed with a little metallic bitterness.

A dark orange-brown coloured beer with frothy off-white head. A strong, skunky hop aroma, rubbery, and metallic, but a light roasted malt element is evident in the background. Dry mouthfeel. A light hop taste, tangy and citrusy thats followed by a sweeter toffe like roasted malt flavour with a hint of nuttiness. This is evident well into the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

bottle from jaghana - merci! Clear brown-golden colour, mid-sized off-white head. Malty with lots of caramel and some rather shy hops in the finish. Shy fruity touch in the background.

BlackHaddock (3912) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 10, 2012
Clear 500ml bottle, poured into a UK pint sleeve in Sep 2011. Dull Ruby red body, thin white covering for a head. The smell was of roasted malts, semi-sweet. The taste was fairly dry but with a malty front, brown toast malty rather than sweet molasses malty. I struggled with it, the 4% ABV didnít seem to sit right and although itís colour was fine it didnít back it up with any depth or rich flavours one could shout about. A fairly boring brew all round.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of jaghana. "Master brewerís choice"- what a cheesy label and name for this beer. Some lacework. Buttery. Light bodied. Poor. Useless. Thanks a lot jaghana!

Bottle from Lidl in Gateshead. Copper coloured with a sweet red fruity and malty flavour, followed by the ususal Shepherd Neame almond and woody finish.
