28th September 2007. St Albans Beer Fest. Malty, creamy and fruity. Very slightly bitter. I was on my way when I had this one but even so a surprise decent brew!

Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival, September 2007. Mid brown colour. Slightly hazy but otherwise in excellent condition. Mainly malty, with caramel and chewy fruit notes to the fore. Decent earthy hops provide a counterpoint. Nicely firm mouthfeel. Pretty tasty.

A Mes rate:
Gravicask at St. Albans Beer Festival. A Sheps micro brew and much better than their usual offerings if you ask me. Nice dark red / brown colour with a pretty decent off white head. Well balanced aroma. Dark fruit flavour with some nice malts and some good hoppage for a bitter finish.

Cask gravity at St Albans BF 2007. Clear mahogany colour with lasting bubbly beige head. Slightly syrupy dry malt aroma, with dry malt as well. Some herby hop. Very clean in mouth, more raisiny dry malt and then a moderately heavy hit of hop kicks in leaving a sting on the tongue. Pretty good malty strong English beer with very nice hop on the finish. Another of the Sheps micro beers.
