Appearance: Clear golden with cm thick white head. Aroma: Lime, biscuit, corn, mineral. Taste: Light bitterness and sweetness with low/medium sourness. Palate: Smooth thick texture, light body, average carbonation, abrupt, slightly dry, citrus, malty finish. Comments: Tasty and slight lace.

330ml Bottle and as usual marked down as a protest of British brewers hiding high prices in smaller than normal bottles. This pours a clear light amber with a thin and mostly vanishing head. Its aroma is quite strong for a lager and is malty with yeast and citrus notes. The taste is clean crisp and quite complex - I agree with the reviewer who mentioned grapefruit and melon - theres a hint of Badgers Golden Glory about this. Its quite bitter on the palate but with a dry finish - top notch lager this - shame about the small bottle size

33cl bottle from Tesco, Camberley. Pale straw with a ring of white head and some light carbonation; pleasant floral hop aroma, quite Germanic in style; clean fruity taste with some grapes and some sweet grapefruit; the finish is rather disappointing, thin and with the "buttery biscuits" still firmly encased in their cardboard box.

Keg at the Bell Hotel. Pours golden, sightly hazy, with a small white head. Aromas of malts, spices, hint of fruit. Taste- quite smooth, hardly any bitterness, spicy, juicy malt, a vague hop presence, hints of apple and orange, some zest. Quite good.

Beese (1099) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 3, 2014
Bottle from Tesco, Watford. Poured avery pale, clear golden colour with a halo of white head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma with some grapefruit, honey and light spice. Flavours were lighter, with some peach and melon sweetness and dry straw. Finish was corn, grain and some soft fruit. Pretty unimpressive.

Bottle from Tesco. Poured a clear light straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is biscuit malt with a little citrus and some yeast. The flavour is medium to light bitter with a watery light spice hop palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Not much flavour. Won’t buy again.
