Gaining its name from the golden hue of the beer, Whitstable Bay Blonde Lager offers an enhanced drinking experience through its floral aroma, paired with buttery biscuit base notes.

Pours a clear yellow golden color, topped with a medium and quickly disappearing white head. Mild fruity nose intially, some grassiness later on. Sweet start, grassy with mild bitterness in the finish. Nothing amazing, light and drinkable. Average.

Fat. Klar guldfärgad med ett medelstort vitt skum. Citrus, gräs och örter i såväl smak som doft. Lättdrucken och fräsch. Lätt beska i avslutningen.

Bottle from Lerøy, Bergen. Aroma is small hints of floral hops, tiny hint of malt. Golden, clear, small white head. Light/medium sweetness, light/medium bitter, tastes of bread, cereal, hints of floral hops. Light body, medium carbonation. Good average lager, easy drinking.

Tap@wka. Pale golden, clear. Some apples on nose, grsin bready malts, honey citrus. Light med bodied, dryish light tart. Strance lager. Feels like a mix of cider and (lager) beer. Interesting, but quickly boring. Not much flavour, feels gimmicky.

Bottle. Fairly typical gold lager colour - nothing exciting. Bread-y aroma, with some maltiness. Oily mouthfeel, which isn’t entirely off-putting, but it doesn’t make it the most ’refreshing’ as lagers go. Quite smooth and inoffensive, nothing stands out nor does anything offend. It’s quite bland really.

Draught at Rotterdam. Golden color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, toast, wet cardboard, malts and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, toast and grass. Very bulky lager.

Bottle on board Fridtjofen 22.07.15. Clear straw coloud. Diminishing white head. Moderate aroma of flowerfields and fresh grass. Similar taste, well balanced with pale malt. Excellent drinkability! Fine aftertaste, with moderate bitterness and succade.

Keg at the Newman Street Tavern, London. Clear orange, lightly sparkling, small foamy white head, full lacing. Aroma is soft cardboard, dried flowers. Body is medium, slightly foamy, low carbonation. Taste is biscuity, sweet, softly flowery - dried hop flowers, citrus, soft bitterness with a pleasant dryness. Excellent lager.

Keg at The Olde Thirsy Pig, Maidstone, Kent. Pale gold with white head. Thin, sweet lager, CO2 wet cardboard hints, some lemon perhaps, weak malt notes. Oops.
