500ml bottle from ICA. Pours clear golden. Grassy aromas, not pleasant. Thin, allmost Budweiser-like taste. One should expect more from a brewery like this.

Appearance: Clear golden orange. Little bit of fizzy head. Aroma: Grass and some hops. Yeast. Taste: Grass, skunk. Not nice at all. Some bitterness. Info: 500ml bottle, 1/4-2008
I am not sure whether this bottle was off, or if it is actually supposed to taste this bad. It is a clear bottle, so you never know if too much light might have ruined it.

UPDATED: NOV 16, 2011 [500ml bottle from Asda High Wycombe, 7/1/2008] Rating 7/3/7/4/14 Smell quite sweet & malty, a bit too fizzy for my liking (but somehow this works with the beer). Citrus flavours, bitter but refreshing. Mouthfeel of a lager. A top-notch summer beer. [Re-rate 13/11/2011, gift from Maureen & Dave - cheers!] Rating 6/4/8/4/15 My original rating was one of my earliest, and I expected I’d probably end up downgrading it now compared to others I’d had since. It pours a crystal clear copper colour, with a moderate but diminishing white head. Orangey-lemon citrus, some biscuit and a good, solid, crisp clean refreshing bitterness. Great stuff, very easy drinking, yet very satisfying. One of the best of the regional brewer pasteurised bottled bitters, with barely a hint of the pasteurisation. Ended up upgrading my rating rather than reducing it!

500ml bottle- Amber in colour with a malty and hoppy nose with grapefruit, orange, lemon and grain being detected. A rather refreshing and zingy taste with the hops again being noticeable although rather sterile. Not bad and refreshing in the summer.

UPDATED: OCT 26, 2009 Bottled. An orange coloured beer with no head. Some hoppy notes in both the nose and the mouth. Citric fruit notes particularly orange. Noticeably pasteurized but minimal cardboard. A little puke when it hits the roof of the mouth, but mellows out. It’s Sheps, enough said really.Score 2.9
Subsequent rating scored 3.2. Average becomes 3.0
