Bottle, just on cold @ Sheppy’s Cellar door, Taunton, Somerset.
Pours a medium gold and almost lifeless bar the odd shy bubble. Wonderfully plump, sweet apple pulp nose, simple and clean. First mouthful was drowned in alcohol giving it a kick. Quite light on the palate, a little tickle of carbonation before becoming oily in back to finish smooth. Seemed more pear than apple in flavour with ample tangy and sweet fruit showing. Little hints of strawberry, vanilla, apple peel, wood and damp earth build as it goes. Swallow is warming, vinous and a little astringent but drops off very short. Not the most complex of ciders and unashamedly heaving with warming alcohol, yet it is still a tasty number. Nice slow drinker!! (50cL, BBE 07/13)

500ml bottle. Pours orange gold with lots of carbonation. Aroma is strongly acidic with some sharp apple underneath. Taste is much the same, light acid to start, much stronger acid and apple skins on the finish.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Clear gold colour with thin white collar. Some decent acidity on the aroma. Touch of acetone even. I like the acetone on this very much. Finish has some dryness. Good character and good firmness in mouth. Rather a decent cider.

Bottled, 500ml from Sainsburys, Banbury. Orange gold with no head. I think I’m beginning to remember the flavours of the different apple types. This is fairly sweet, sucrose with a faint taste of old leather and rusk. Heady alcohol notes. Decent for cider and worth a punt.
