Light gold with Smells of fresh apples, toffee and an overall sourness and muskiness that makes it strong to me. Crisp medium body. Lots of fruit on the palate with a strong sharp sourness on the dry finish. Too powerful for my taste

Gentle nose with some oak. Pours a rich gold. Flavour is quite dry and sharp with a piercing astringency. Finish is bold and dry with a lingering bitterness and a moreish refreshingness.

Bottle, just on cold @ Sheppy’s Cellar door, Taunton, Somerset.
Could be the strangest notes I’ve ever written for a cider I actually loved drinking.
Cap comes off with a burp. Orange tinged medium gold, quite bright, with a flurry of fine carbonation pushing up a ring of white on the meniscus that holds and leaves a fine lace. Sweaty barnyard animals and freshly turned topsoil, a lot of orchard in the dew of morning, damp grass, chicken faeces, country lanes, damp, watery condensation on green timber and late moss; this just heaved the country in the aroma. It smelt of the very farm in which its orchards lie. Extraordinary, captivating, oh and it has just a touch of tart fruit. In the mouth it is aggressively sour, acidic, and dry to the point of puckering. Fruit is there, clean, fresh like it has just been picked, but almost as a soft edition to the phenomenal fermentation by-products produced. Very earthy, again the aroma just plays into the long, lingering all-farm funkiness of it. It is light, the carbonation just a spritzy prickle that heightens the extraordinarily unique flavours of it. The alcohol nowhere to be seen. It really leaves a lasting impression. Crisp, tart and quenching all round, but not for everyone as I soon found out handing it around to my partner and co. Definitely unique! (50cL, no date stamp)

500ml bottle (ChrisO’s pre-GBBF2011 "Donkey Dork Lord" shindig)
Lovely sharp aroma. Packed full of apples, but the sharpness never subsides. Crisp and refreshing in the mouth. Again, tons of fruit, but with a nice bite to it. Sharp. Covers 7.2% well, a very easy drinker.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Clear gold pour with a light, foamy head. Tart apple aroma. Sweet and dry flavor, light sugar, funk and understated apple. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly dry finish, a little bit of must and apples. Really nice.
