OStreetBrewery (96), Wellington, New Zealand May 17, 2008 Pours a mid gold with a disappearing head. Aroma features a complex blend of crisp apple, oaky tannin, and a touch of wild ferment. On the palate crisp apple , tannin and a wild astringent note lead to a solid sour finish. Fantastic cider, dangerously drinkable.
downender (1609), Bristol, Gloucestershire, England Aug 23, 2008 Bottle. Gold with no head and moderate carbonation. Fresh apple aroma with a hint of tartness. Surprisingly easy drinking for the ABV, with a dry yet juicy apple flavour. Very drinkable and another good single varietal from Sheppys. haddonsman (1191), Derby, Derbyshire, England Mar 20, 2006 Bottled. Sharp and crisp, does exactly what you’d expect for this varietal with a lovely astringent feel to it. Magic_dave6 (3975), London, Greater London, England Jan 24, 2006 Aroma is maybe a bit minimal but some frush apples and cherry maybe kick in? Taste is also quite fresh sharp apples, a decent amount of sourness and dry finish. Good effort. hughie (2252), Bedford, Bedfordshire, England Jun 28, 2005 Light golden colour and a fresh aroma. Taste was interesting for someone who doesn’t know much about cider: sweetness merging into sourness and finally to something not far removed from bitterness. Made me want to explore further the world of cider.
