3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from ASDA. Clear, deep golden in colour with no head yet plenty of spritzy carbonation. Sharp fresh apple aroma. Remarkably easy drinking given the ABV, with plenty of dry apple flavours, a touch of oak and a long, dry finish. An excellent drink on a summer’s day.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle 50 cl) Clear golden with a tiny head. Extremely concentrated and very fresh apple aroma. Medium in body and low in carbonation. First some acidity and then a bitterness that comes creeping to give a rather astringent finish. But quite lovely - and again with the alcohol amazingly well hidden. 190208

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
this is (without doubt) the best single variety cider i have ever tasted (and i have tasted loads!) - its a real cider drinkers cider. jt has a really flavour curve that starts with a sharp apple tang - you can taste the orchard. As you swallow the flavour slowly develops to a crisp dry ever-so-slightly bitter end. i drink many ciders all the time and this is one i always come back to a and compare all others too! do yourself a favour and buy a few bottles - its tremendous!
god i wish it was available on tap! christ i would die and go to heaven!!
For all you Americans reading this - this is what cider should taste like! i know you guys are good at recreating flavours - RECREATE THIS ONE AND YOU WILL GET RICH! (send me a case first to check!)

Comments: Vanilla touched exquisite cider with a most accurate positioning of woody, apple and flowery flavours.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, glorious golden coloured cider, that is wonderfully refreshing with a great appley and woody aroma and a taste of wood in this pleasantly medium/dry but erring more towards dry cider, very nice indeed.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml bottle courtesy of geth_in_beer. Thanks again. (I’m only now realizing how many beer you dragged over for me). Orange-golden colour. Beautiful earthy/dusty aroma over a sweet appley aroma. Distinct apple skin tannins in the nose as well. As it warms a beautiful fragrant floral character comes from underneath the tart acidity and soft funkiness. Lightly stinky cheesy funkiness over the more normal horsey character and wild yeastiness. Some soft vanilla notes and a very dry tannic finish make this go down very easily. As it warms, the sweetness comes forth a bit more, but it is still very dry. Lovely cider.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Dark golden colour, quite high visible carbonation. Aroma of apples, oak, barnyard, and alcohol. Very smooth, well balanced flavours, sweet, dry, woody, fruity. Excellent and dangerously drinkable.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Golden with slowly rising bubbles. Aromas are apples with a red wine dryness, also wood. Flavours are not so apple orientated as the aroma - drier and woodier. Lots of tannin as the commercial description suggests. Tastes as good as the decent cask ciders.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled. Another outstanding Sheppy’s cider. Shines in the glass, no mad carbonation, disgustingly easy drinking for 7.2%, well-tempered appleness, hint of that oak finish, have to stop my wife drinking these ciders before I get a look in!
