500ml bottle. Deep orange golden colour. Smells of apples (obviously) but also like an orchard, woody apple smell. Tastes very oaky, very complex nice flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2012 I don’t rate cider due to its inherent inferiority to beer but...oops, here’s another one. Decided I AM allowed to rate cider provided I don’t ever use the word ’a**le’. Bottle from Aldi. Pale lager gold, head fast gone. Huge aroma of bubblegum, mulled candle (clove), oak, some seriously funky, Brett-like intent. Huge juicy strudel flavour with black-flecked, proper Madagascan vanilla ice cream, rubber, oak, clay, disinfectant, lambic. Somewhat drying and tannic, although sweet. A beautiful, complex drink. Might have to review that opening comment about the relative merits of cider and beer.

09-NOV-2012, bottle from Magasin, @Ulkløbben meeting @my place. Yellow/golden with low white head. Slightly tart with applle aroma. Taste is sweet apples and some wood. Slightly tart with some sweetness. Simple but nice. Served blind with a sour but no problem guessing that it was a cider.
