50cl bottle of Marks & Spencers Somerset Oak Mature Vintage Cider from M&S Wokingham. 2014 vintage A pale straw colour with no head but a lively look; aroma of Dabinet apples; smooth dry taste, with apparent oaking, but a fresh dessert apple taste; and a clean finish.

500ml bottle. Gold cider color. Very nice tart, funky, earthy, medicinal aroma. Just a hint of oak. Flavor has a sweetness up front but finished bone dry, vanilla like maybe form a mix of the barrel and the apples, it is medicinal and mild overall.

2014 vintage tasted. Golden honey colour with soft carbonation. Aroma of apple with a light flowery background. Fruity taste with dry, smoky finish. All rounded nicely by the maturation.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden body with visible sparking bubbles and an amber taint. Nose is wood, yellow apple peel, sawdust, red fruits, apple juice and hints of flowers and mild pears. Taste is apple peel, wood, sawdust, yellow apple juice, oak tannins and hints of alcohol, straw, flowers and pear. Light body, medium carbonation. Quite pleasant and rather complex cider with a noticable barrel aged profile.

Fairly mild aroma with a massive taste. Quite dry tasting and a lovely honey appearance. Syrupy but dry. A great combination that keeps you guessing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Golden pour. Aroma of apple juice and sweet oak. Taste is very sweet, it?s basicly apple juice, with some mild dryness. Bit simple.

500ml bottle (M&S, Tallinn). Pale yellow color. No head, non expected. Apples, leather, sweet aroma. Sweet apples, bit caramelly in taste. 7,4% and it feels so watery and thin and drinkable! More!

500ml bottle - thanks Marduk
Beautiful dry apply aroma, that’s the kind of aroma I like from an English cider. Quite pale, clear, no head, but that last bit was expected. Drinkability legendary. Goddamn, this is disappearing quicker than I can rate it! Love the apple. Even some vanilla. Palate quite watery. Pleasant yeastiness. Such a super cider.

7.4% ABV. Cider. Full of musty, oaky, cellar-like flavors. Very sharp and almost abrupt taste of sandalwood on the palate. Nice dry palate. Good for a cider. I always have to remember that ciders don’t have that backbone of rich malt to hang on, so some of the flavors come across almost rudely and without much nuance. Kinda the reason why they are not my favorite things to explore because there just isn’t much to discover. That said, this will go on my list of favorites, together with Thatcher’s Sneaky Rascal.
