3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Small taste from a bottle at home. The rest was used for cooking a lovely pork hotpot. Aroma is sharp apple with some parmessan cheese and wood. Crystal clear greenish orange coloured pour with a fleeting fine ehite head. Flavour is dry crisp appes and wood / oak tanin in the finish. Nice dry palate and slightly vinous on the tongue. Moderately low carbonation. Alcohol is fairly present. Decent oaked cider.

As Somerset Oak Matured Vintage Cider. Clear golden with nice visible carbonation. Fresh apples, grapes. Has a big wine-like woody touch, medium dry with funky finish. Sweetness is just right, as is the carbonation. Nice stuff.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle: Labeled as Somerset Oak Matured Vintage Cider. Served in a shaker glass:
Small lively head that disappears within seconds. Headless clear yellow colored cider.
Aroma is a bit vinous, oak, fermented apples, manure, light chalky and farm fields.
Flavours of fermented apples, apple peel, alcohol, dust, dry, grainy alcohol, nasty bitter, wood, some nasty grains and malt tones, yeast, cheese and some pear.
Aftertaste is dry, grainy, fermented apple dust and some farm tones.
Low carbo, creamy dry mouthfeel, medium bodied and a dry light watery texture.
This smells very nice but the taste is rather out of tune. It has a good firm dryness. Decent but not really good!
