Tim's translation: The DPA (Draft Pale Ale) is 5.2% and limited to draft only. The DPA uses pilsner malt and four types of American and British aroma hops that produce a strong nose, which stands out in contrast to the pale color. Compared to the pale ale this is charactertized with a dry body and bright hop aroma.

DPA? Draft pale ale? In a bottle? Fair enough if it were pale ale served as draft ’only’, but in a bottle, this just makes no sense. Anyway, this is draft pale ale from a bottle, make of it what you will. Looks like a pale ale and drinks like a pale ale. Nothing really expressive, very little aroma, pretty light overall with a little hop bitterness, clean yeast, not bad, but nothing to get remotely excited about. Overall, I might try it on ’Draft’ but wouldn’t bother with the bottle again.

Draft at Beer Fest Yokohama 2014. Clear golden color with a nice lasting off-white head. Solid lacing. Citrus, pineapple and passion fruit on the nose with hints of yeast. Medium-light body with solid carbonation. Fruity and bitter on the palate with a bit of malt sweetness that comes out. Very refreshing with a nice dry bitter finish.

Draught at Bungalow. Very pale gold with lasting head and good lacing. Floral aroma with some yeast. Flavour has lots of citrus, not as much hop flavour as I expected from te style. Nice dry finish.

On tap at the Kyoto Beer Fest 2014. A clear gold with a filmy white head. The aroma is nicely balanced between hops & malts. Medium to light bodied with a zesty mouthfeel. The flavor is really nice, malts, noble hops, citrus, earthy, quite good.

Tap at Craft Beer Bar, Yokohma. Had had a few by this time. Golden coloured, small off-white head. Aroma is floral, skunk, light yeasty. Taste is citrus, very nice, lightly hoppy, nice yeastiness, bit like a shandy in a good way. Easy drinking.

Golden in colour, small creamy head. Semi-sweet smell on the nose w/ some pine notes. Taste is highlighted by smooth malt presence and a crisp, gentle hop profile. Balance is the key element here and this Pale Ale stands out as a supreme thirst quencher.

A great pale...apparently they use their own hops rather than pellets for this DPA. Fresh and delicious as you like. Quite heavy body for this style. fantastic!!
