Tried this at Ant n Bee in Tokyo. A very decent IPA with a very hoppy flavor and cloudy, darker colour.

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2013 Aroma: Iight resin, maybe anise note, citrus, grass
Palate: Brilliantly smooth.
Flavor: Grapefruit, rich medium-bodied amber malt, grassy hop.
Comment: My favorite brewer in Japan. The brewer has a masterful understanding of balance, which, IMHO, is far more difficult to achieve than power.
Bottled Version:
Aroma: orange and ruby grapefruit.
Flavor: tropical fruit, orange, ruby grapefruit. Long grassy hop finish.
Comment: I rated the bottled version a 3.3; the draft is superior in all categories except for palate which also scored a 4/5.

Bottle. Great colour and nose. After taste accentuates the initial burst of hoppy and mildly fruity goodness.

Tap at Craft Beer Market Jimbocho as Shiga Kogen Harvest Brew IPA. Amber orange colour, small golden bubbly head. Aroma fruit and bitterness, hops, bit of pineapple maybe. Usual grapefruit. Quite a bit of spicy maltiness. Taste, satisfying bitterness, citrus elements, grapefruit again. Just a touch of sweetness from malt. Not bad at all. Solid

Bottle (gift from Neko-chan). Deep, stinky, sweaty, manure aroma. Lovely golden orange-brown color. The initial flavors are a bit dry, with a rough mid-palate attack of sweet fruit, and a moderate hop finish. Full body and mouth feel. Very good stuff.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2012 Bottle. It seems to be brown. A bit of caramel and citrus flavor with moderate bitterness,and grass aroma I like.

Draught @ Craft Heads, Tokyo
Very light aroma with some sweet berries, like strawberry. Flavour is sweet and berry-like too; some strawberries and hints of tartness. Some hops and bready malt. Rather weird and berryish IPA, not good.

A step up on the PA but not in a huge way. Clearly more malt and hop weight but lack a little omph (to be fair this isn’t styled as a DIPA). Ultra clean construction and very refreshing with some grapefruit kicking in on both the nose and flavours.

UPDATED: DEC 23, 2011 Pours dark grainy orange amber. Medium white head. Aroma is strong citrous hop bitterness, wet hay, pine, and sweetish malt. Flavour is strong citrousy, but well balanced. Good combination of citrousy grapefruit hops and caramel biscuit malt. Crisp and dry on the finish.
