Tap @ Brasserie Beer Boulevard, Tokyo. Golden amber, reasonable head. Spicy resinous hop aroma. Cereal grain citrus fruit flavour. Bitter biscuit grapefruit aftertaste. Not a typical saison, more like a hoppy blonde beer. I liked it.

330 ml bottle at a tasting on October 30, 2013 (backlog). Thanks to Ingo!
Marked 13.09.
Marked 6.5%, "Tamamura Honten - Miyama Blonde".
Clear pale straw yellow color, small white head. Vile, sulphur, SO2, farts, manure scent. Likely one of the most vile beers I’ve ever smelled, good on you for treating me to that! Taste of sulphur, albeit not as potent as in the smell, also smoe fruits, a bit of zest, some yeast phenoles. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
This is really bad, I laugh about it even while rating.

On tap @ El Pato, Koenji, Tokyo, and a few days later bottled (tanks to TimE). Pale blonde color, hazy. Dense white head. Aroma’s: earthy and flowery hops, a little sweet malts. Retronasal there’s additionally grain and some fruit (citrus). Flavor grainy, slightly sweet/malty and fruity. Medium bodied. Dry and rather bitter finish. Good!

Bottle from Yamaoka. Fresh, zesty aroma of citrus, some nice background hops. Medium carbonation. Fairly high alcohol well hidden. Not sour enough to be in saison territory, but refreshing nonetheless. Not very complex, but does what it has to do quite well.

Light sweet malt nose. Nice spicy citrus taste, smooth refreshing drink, but a bit one-dimentional.

Tap at Popeye. Surprised I have never rated this. Pale blond, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit weak, lightly fruity and bit grainy. Taste is nice. Hints of tropical fruit, quite dry. Slightly floral too. Herbal crispness. Pretty damn good. Very refreshing after an imperial stout.
