On tap @ Shine. Copper pour with an off-white head. Fruity esters on the nose. Grape, apple, and some red fruits. Slight caramel, toast, and candy sugar. Light grass and orange peel. Slight citric acidity. Flavors are sweet toast, caramel, and toffee. Herbal and woody hops. Candy sugar, sweet red fruits, and a touch of grape. Grassy hops and a slight bitterness.

Hazy amber with a thin white head with lots of lace. Nose was a bit faint but there was some crystal malt and caramel tones on the nose. Flavor is thankfully more full than the nose, so much so that there was a slight boozy warmth on the back end. Flavor of earthy caramel and lots of crystal malts with a little too much of an American hoppiness of pine and grapefruit. Nothing wrong with a hoppy red ale, I was just hoping for something a bit more British. Not bad in of itself, actually. Nice full body with lots of hoppy character and a strong and layered malty base. Finished kinda floral and sweet. Perhaps a little too acidic bitter though.

UPDATED: DEC 20, 2012 Tap @ Shine. Hazy, reddish appearance with a tan head. Celery, cooked corn, infected I think, toasty malty, tangy, earthy aroma. Tangy red fruity, rich caramel, sour, tangy, celery flavor. Fuck this shit. Messed up and bad. Hope mikey gets ernie to rate it. (1.8)

Update: last time around this had some issues, but it appears they worked it out. Some nice caramel notes and pretty tasty hoppy. Not bad. (3.2)

draft. cloying caramel syrup and red apple malt with strong, waxy fruit cocktail esters and husky, minerallic, rough grain husks. blood orange and mushy apples are brought to mind. resinous pine sap and chemicals and orange oil late. I was told this is in the vein of Oskar Blues G’Knight. so it is.
