COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at the little brewery in Shiner, we’re happy to serve up our latest anniversary brew, Shiner 102. With a special recipe that sits between a bright wheat beer and wheat wine ale, this smooth, filtered, double wheat ale pours a pale straw color with hints of sweetness. And the aromatic Czech Saaz and Washington Golding Hops and the crisp character of malted wheat are sure to refresh your senses. Prosit!

Not too fragrant.....pale yellow in color...quickly disepating head. Malt tast up front...unexpected with double wheat description. Malt is sweet...overall watery...with tiny bitterness at the end.

Pours a hazy yellow. Thin bodied with a wheat, lemon, and alcohol bite. There is nothing offensive about this beer, it is simply uninteresting. Shiner seems to be more interested in making beers palatable than taking the risks necessary to make exceptional beers.

Very light color, but tastes like every plant except hops. Body is actually a little heavier than most wheats, but I personally will not be having this one again.

Fizzy yellow. Grassy, lemons, wheat, straw. Very thin mouthfeel. An after-mowing-the-lawn beer to drink out of the bottle.

This brew pours a clear straw color with a medium thin foamy white head that evaporates quickly. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of wheat, mild spices and fruit. Light to medium body with flavors of sweet wheat. bready malt and a bit of tart fruit. The finish is short and mildly bitter with a slightly tangy hops aftertaste. Pretty average all around.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Huge wheat character. Malty, dough, fruity. Not much going on with this beer.

thedm (4935) - Fort Wayne, USA - MAY 30, 2012
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were very long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent light yellow orange colored body. The almost non-existant aroma was malty and wheat. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start mediumly tingly at the finish with a lingering malty aftertaste. The smooth flavor contained notes of wheat hops and malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider drinking again.

Pours hazy gold. Mediocre at best and way too sweet and too much carbination. try it once and move on.

The aroma is corn, wheat, malts, grassy, and ok. The look is deep golden in color, clear, and has a fizzy white head. The taste is grass, malts, and wheat. Just eh.

From notes: Poured fizzy, clear straw color, with a 1-finger white head. Sweet lemon or orange citrus aroma, mixed with some yeast funk. Light, but a bit thin. Flavors were very light. Sweet note, maybe caramel, with a slight orangey note and some biscuity yeast in the finish.
