4.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
One of my favorites!..Black pour, tan head, great smooth taste. Not the beer for the lighter beer fans. A thick steak and Shiner Bohemian Black Lager were made for eachother!

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Its body has a dark almost black color with deep crimson highlights. On top sits a tall creamy light tan head which is long lasting and keeps a small covering to the last sip. Along the way down the glass it makes nice lacing. It has a dark roasted and toasted maltiness as well as some sweet candy like notes as well. The flavor is right on with a nice mix of dark roasted maltiness and hop bitterness. There are notes of dark or burnt toast, dark roasted coffee with an underlined sweetness like dark caramel and a slight hint of cherry chough drop. Hops are light but do offer some mellow bitterness. The finish is a little roasty with pleasant bitterness. Its palate feels smooth and mildly carbonated.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle from backlog notes. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malt, dark chocolate, some earthy bitterness, watery mouthfeel, thin, very light nose, bland flavor.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Dark-colored beer. Has a smokey and caramel aroma. Flavor is also smoke and caramel, a little burnt. Has plenty of flavor, but not flavor I really care for. Sits heavy on the stomach for a beer with low abv.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from the mixed 12 pack
Pours a solid dark brown with faint ruby highlights at the edges and a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates to nothing. Aromas of caramel and burnt sugars with just a hint of chocolate and a faint earthy hop to counter. The flavor is malty sweet with lots of darker sugars and melanoids and just a hint of earth, chocolate, and light fruit. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Decent dark lager, probably my favorite from the mix.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a bottle into a tall glass. Nice brown head and rich color. Caramel aroma, nice coffee notes, somewhat creamy, wish it had a higher ABV.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a fairly black color with tan head. The aromas show light overall hopping. Taste is light to medium maltiness with good carbonation. Mildly sweet and leaves a nice small amount of bitterness on the tongue. There is not a toasty flavor which is appropriate for the style. Very refreshing.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
@Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark ruby brown color, head that immediately drops to a thin cover, no lace. Taste is simple roasted malt with a slight bit of dark chocolate. Nothing changes through a short finish. This has quite a bit of taste, but it never does anything past the openers. Only fair.
